Deputies looking for missing 15-year-old girl

Washington County Sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing from the San Mar Children's Home near Boonsboro since last Wednesday.

Danielle Nicole Jordan is described as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 107 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She wears wire-frame glasses.

She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with KORN written on the front, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Deputies believe Danielle is in the Hagerstown area. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 240-313-2171 or Crime Solvers of Washington County at 301-733-4141.

Pilot remains in critical condition

CUMBERLAND, Md. - The pilot who was hurt in a small plane crash near Cumberland Thursday afternoon remained in critical condition Sunday night at a Baltimore hospital, a nursing supervisor said.


Pilot Gregory Teeter, 49, and passenger, Olie Teeter, 55, both of Flintstone, Md., were initially taken to Memorial Hospital in Cumberland by medevac helicopter, police said. A short time later, Gregory Teeter was transferred to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Olie Teeter remained at the Cumberland hospital with less serious injuries. No updated condition on Olie Teeter was available Sunday night.

Maryland State Police said the 1946 Aeronca Champ single-engine plane crashed around 4:25 p.m. near the Mexico Farms Airport. The plane suddenly rolled to the left and struck a tree, police said.

The plane came to rest after striking a home and garage. The occupants were trapped in the wreckage for a short time, police said.

No one on the ground was injured, police said.

Traffic stop results in multiple charges

FREDERICK, Md. - A Lanham, Md., man faces multiple charges as a result of a traffic stop by Frederick City Police shortly after midnight Friday morning.

Officer Brian Wolf stopped a vehicle being driven without headlights in the 300 block of South Jefferson Street in Frederick. The driver, Ronnell Taiwo Sanya, 25, of 5520 Cordona St., Lanham, was charged with failure to display headlights, driving on a suspended out-of-state license and failure to display his license on demand after a license check showed his license was suspended in Virginia, police said.

After a search of the car, he also was charged with transporting a handgun in a vehicle, carrying a concealed dangerous and deadly weapon, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, police said.
