Management courses at HCC

The Hagerstown Community College Center for Continuing Education will present an opportunity to receive an American Management Association certificate in Human Resources or management.

There are four AMA course offerings - two in human resources management and two in management.

"First Line Supervision" (management) will demonstrate effective uses of voice mail, e-mail and the Internet. That will be held Thursday, April 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

"A Manager's Guide to Human Behavior" (human resources and management) will develop skills to interact with others and motivate employees and co-workers. That will be held Thursday, May 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

"Fair, Square and Legal" (human resources and management) will identify potential employment law violations before they happen. That will be held Thursday, May 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

"How to Manage Conflict in the Organization" (human resources and management) will demonstrate the strategies, tactics and insights one needs to gain control of tough conflict situations. That will be held Thursday, May 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The cost is $179 for all four courses, which will be held at Hagerstown Community College's Valley Mall location.
