Hagerstown City Police have warrants for two men in connection with a March 10 armed robbery in Cramer's Alley off Franklin Street.

Darryl Lamonte Joyner, 41, no fixed address, and Kevin Anthony Washington, 46, address unknown, are charged with one count each of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, first- and second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft, police said.

Washington also is charged with one count of deadly weapon with intent to injure, police said.

The victim, a Hagerstown man, told police he was in Cramer's Alley just off West Franklin Street when the four people he was drinking with earlier in the day at a nearby tavern assaulted him at 3:20 p.m.

The victim told police one man picked up a rock and hit him in the head, knocking him to the ground. Once he was down, there was a struggle and the victim said he was being held down while another man went through his pockets.

His wallet, which contained about $180, was stolen, police said.

Washington was described as a black man, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 175 pounds. Joyner was described as a black man, 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds, police said.

The others included a 5-foot-6-inch white woman with dark hair and a white man who was 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 140 pounds, the victim told police.

When police arrived on the scene, the victim was bleeding from the head and face. He refused medical treatment, police said.

Published reports of the incident generated phone calls to police with information, including that the woman was only a witness in this case.

Detective Shane Blankenship would like to speak to that woman about the incident.

Police ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts or the whereabouts of Washington or Joyner can call 301-790-3700, ext. 246.
