Occupation: Washington County Public Schools choral and general music director for grades 6, 7 and 8.

Family: One son, Robert.

Education: Bachelor's degree from Shepherd College and Masters Equivalency from various institutions.

Mentor: "My parents."

Favorite part of the job: "Seeing the look of pride on students' faces when they realize their accomplishment through hard work."

Biggest challenge of the job: "Finding the time to include something unique and special in each of the subject areas and grade levels that I teach."


Favorite music: "All music except that which is degrading or violent in nature."

Favorite car: "A 1969 Triumph GT6+ I owned when I was much younger."

Reading now: The "Left Behind" series.

Last movie seen: "(A) favorite movie: "It's a Wonderful Life." It should be a requirement for everyone to watch annually."

Favorite TV show: "'Who's Line Is It Anyway?' Laughter is the best medicine."

Hobbies: Gardening, sewing, decorating, music (Hagerstown Municipal Band), knitting and crocheting."
