Albert J. Wilhide Jr.
SABILLASVILLE, Md. - Albert Josiah "Bo" Wilhide Jr., 57, of Sabillasville, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Gettysburg Hospital, Gettysburg, Pa.
Born April 22, 1945, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Albert J. and Marie Lantz Wilhide.
He worked for Grove Manufacturing for 29 years and was working for Martin's Pastries in Chambersburg, Pa.
He was a member of Germantown Church of God in Cascade.
He was a member of Blue Ridge Summit Fire Co.
He is survived by three sisters, Marie Lowman of Falling Waters, W.Va., Shirley Rienks of Rouzerville, Pa., and Linda Caricofe of Hagerstown; one brother, George Wilhide of Sabillasville; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Home, Thurmont, Md. The Rev. R. Bruce Henneman will officiate. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 1 p.m.

Clarence E. Hanback Jr.
Clarence Emerson Hanback Jr., 61, of Beverly Healthcare, Hagerstown and formerly of Silver Spring, Md., died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.
Born May 8, 1941, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Harriet Bernice Little Hanback of Silver Spring and the late Clarence Emerson Hanback Sr.
He retired from the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission in Rockville, Md., after more than 35 years.
He was a member of Layhill Free Methodist Church in Layhill, Md.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Sherri Embrey of Hagerstown and Wendy Hanback of Sharpsburg; one sister, Jackie Shorb of Silver Spring and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one infant daughter and two sisters, Gwendolyn Thurman and Barbara Turner.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Layhill Free Methodist Church, Silver Spring. Hubert Shorb will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Burtonsville, Md.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport and Monday at 10 a.m. at the church. The funeral home will open Sunday at 9 a.m.

John W. Leatherman
John Williams Leatherman, 60, of 261 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at his home.
Born Sept. 27, 1942, near Strasburg, Va., he was the son of the late Albert T. and Bessie Beatty Leatherman.
He was a 1960 graduate of Keyser High School in Keyser, W.Va.
He was employed by AVCO Aerostructures in Nashville, Tenn., and previously by Fairchild Industries. He also worked at several area radio stations as an announcer.
He served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Betty J. Leatherman; two daughters, Stacey L. Ellis and Krista L. Shoop, both of Hagerstown; one stepdaughter, Sherry L. Dobbs of Nashville; one stepson, Scott A. Upchurch of Nashville; one brother, Eston T. Leatherman of Williamsport; one grandson and three stepgrandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Loyal H. Vanderveer will officiate.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary C. Coover
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary Catherine Coover, 91, of 2075 Scotland Ave., formerly of 18911 Crofton Road, Hagerstown, died Thursday, March 13, at Menno Haven Nursing Center in Chambersburg.
Born Saturday, April 1, 1911, in Walnut Bottom, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Isabel Bowermaster Yocum.
Her husband, John Lester Coover, died in June 1998.
