Howard F. Horner

IJAMSVILLE, Md. - Howard Francis Horner, 60, of Ijamsville, died of cancer Monday, March 10, 2003.

Born Jan. 28, 1943, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of Anna Mildred Horner of Martinsburg and the late Homer Francis Horner.

He was employed as an accountant by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He had been an accounting manager at Manor Care Inc. for 25 years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Jean Horner; three daughters, Pamela Slater of Brooklawn, N.J., Trish McCoy of Mount Airy, Md. and Susan Tyler of Jefferson, Md.; one sister, Anna J. Turner of Huddleston, Va.; three grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Montgomery United Methodist Church, Damascus. The Rev. Tim Dissmeyer will officiate.

Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home, Damascus, Md.; and at the church Friday at 10 a.m.
