Ruth Louise Bowman Stine, 93, formerly of Antietam Drive, Hagerstown, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Fahrney-Keedy Home, Boonsboro.
Born Oct. 31, 1909, in Wolfsville, Md., she was the daughter of the late John and Carrie Alice Pryor Bowman.
Her husband, Preston R. Stine, died Dec. 21, 2000. They were married Sept. 21, 1940.
She was employed at Cavetown Canning Factory and Williamsport Silk Mill.
She was a member of Calvary Grace Brethren Church, Hagerstown, and was a deaconess.
She is survived by one son, William P. Stine of Myersville, Md.; one sister, Anna Bowser of Chewsville; one grandson, Dean Stine of Brunswick, Md.; and a stepgreat-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rae Harper and Madeline S. Young; and four brothers, Glenn Bowman, Herman Bowman, Paul Bowman and Samuel Bowman.
