Mary F. Lehman

WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. - Mary F. Lehman, 82, of Winter Springs, and formerly of Charles Town, W.Va., died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Life Care Center in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Born Oct. 11, 1920, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late Marshall L. and Fannie B. Jacobs Frye.

Her husband, Harvey W. "Tuffy" Lehman, died Feb. 8, 2001.

She was a 1939 graduate of Charles Town High School.

She was a telephone operator for Central Telephone Co. in Charles Town and AT&T.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town, United Methodist Women and sang in the choir. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Casselberry, Fla.

She is survived by one son, Terry W. Lehman of Winter Springs; one sister, Dorcas F. Ramsburg of Charles Town; one brother, Thomas L. Frye of Seattle; five grandchildren; six nieces; and eight nephews.


She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn L. Crisman; and two brothers, Francis M. Frye and Donald Frye.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town. The Rev. Richard Simpson will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
