BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Brenda Gail Clatterbuck, 52, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born Sept. 3, 1950, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of Glenn Harrison and Ida Mae Crane Kidwell of Paw Paw, W.Va.

She was a 1968 graduate of Paw Paw High School, where she was a member of Paw Paw Alumni Association. She earned a bachelor of science in elementary education from Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W.Va., in 1972 and was a member of Tri Sigma Beta Delta Sorority.

She taught at North Berkeley Elementary School, Berkeley Springs, and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Paw Paw Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Ronald Lee Clatterbuck; one son, Kevin A. Kidwell of Paw Paw; two stepdaughters, Kelley L. Clatterbuck of Hume, Va., and Stacey Clatterbuck of Berkeley Springs; one stepson, Ronald Ross of Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Glenda Ridgeway, Rhonda Kidwell and Julie Kidwell, all of Paw Paw; three brothers, Roger Kidwell, Richard Kidwell and Jeff Kidwell, all of Paw Paw; two grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Paw Paw Church of Christ. Richard White and Pastor Kathy Spitzer will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs. A memorial service will be held for the students at North Berkeley Elementary School at a later date.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, which will be open today after 9 a.m., and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
