HANCOCK - Charles Roger Burnett, 81, of Heavenly Acres Road, died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at his home.
Born Jan. 25, 1922, in Hancock, he was the son of the late Charles Harry and Lillie Elizabeth Ganoe Burnett.
He was a graduate of Hancock High School.
For 56 years, he was the owner and operator of the Park-n-Dine Restaurant in Hancock.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hancock Ward.
He was a member of Webster B. Harrison Post 26 American Legion of Hancock.
He is survived by his wife, Adona Brown Burnett, whom he married Feb. 7, 1959; one daughter, Diana Hanna of Hagerstown; four sons, Steve Burnett of Baltimore, Larry Burnett of Hancock, Craig Burnett of Hagerstown and Bradley Burnett of Orem, Utah; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
