Herald-Mail honors workers who weathered snowstorm

The Herald-Mail Co. has named the following people as Employees of the Month for their efforts in braving the elements and making it to work through the snowstorm on Sunday, Feb. 16:

Thanks to these employees, many of whom had to spend the night at or near the newspaper, the company was able to publish an edition on Monday, Feb. 17. They will all receive special recognition and compensation for their efforts.

In other company news, Ronnie Crampton is marking a 30-year service anniversary in March.

Crampton has spent his career in the Composing Room and Ad Services Department, spending the last 13 years as a typesetter.

Ryan Harpster, a graphic artist in the newsroom, is celebrating a five-year anniversary in March.

The company also has hired Bruce Carter as a zone manager in the Circulation department; Cal Sharff as a part-time inserter in the mailroom; Jessica Piper as a part-time retention telemarketer in Circulation; and Deb Fiedler as a part-time customer service representative in Circulation.
