Transportation Department submits budget to county

The Washington County Transportation Department has submitted a $1.7 million budget to the County Commissioners for fiscal year 2004.

The budget anticipates receiving $415,330 from the county's general fund budget, an increase of $67,480, or 19.4 percent, over fiscal year 2003's allocation of $347,850, according to county documents.

The transportation budget, also known as the County Commuter budget, also anticipates receiving $501,700 in grants and $240,000 from fares among other revenue projections for the 2004 fiscal year.
