Linda G. Bayline


Linda G. Bayline, 55, of 1120 Oxford Circle, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Nov. 30, 1947, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Francis William and Leona Gertrude Wolf Bayline.

She was an honorary member of Knoxville Bible Church, Knoxville, Md.

She was a member of the Happy Go Lucky Bowling League and the Day Program at Washington County Human Development Council.

She is survived by many friends and caregivers at Washington County Human Development Council.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. George Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery in Baltimore.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to services Tuesday.




Genevieve A. Bussard


MAUGANSVILLE - Genevieve A. Bussard, 88, of 14015 Village Mill Drive, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Aug. 16, 1914, in Wilmington, Del., she was the daughter of the late Jay Lyday and Grace Elizabeth Myers Clark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Major William Thomas Bussard U.S. Army Retired, in 1976.

She was employed by Washington County Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Hagerstown Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Pamela N. Leather of Hagerstown; two sisters, Phyllis M. Grimm of Hagerstown and Jeanne E. Quinn of Powell, Wyo.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Dr. Jay Layday Clark.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. John W. Ailstock will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mearl V. Morgret


BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Mearl Virgil "Tom" Morgret, 76, of Berkeley Springs, who died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va., was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Miller and Stanley Morgan.




Richard L. Ardinger Sr.


Richard Lee Ardinger Sr., 60, of 1138 Pope Ave., Hagerstown, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, at his home.

Born Sept. 28, 1942, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Edward Charles and Frances Elizabeth Palmer Ardinger.

He was the owner of Ardinger's Electrical and Refrigeration Service in Hagerstown.

He served in the Maryland National Guard.

He was a member of Christ Fellowship Assembly of God in Hagerstown.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Deborah Jane Garrish Ardinger; one daughter, Dawn R. Hart of Hagerstown; one son, Richard L. Ardinger Jr. of Hedgesville, W.Va.; one stepson, Robert L. Byers Jr. of Mont Alto, Pa.; one sister, Miriam Shatzer of Hagerstown; three half sisters, Barbara Lillar of St. James, Carolyn Smith of Smithsburg and Dolley Van Fleet of Hagerstown; two half brothers, Edward Ardinger of Boonsboro and Elmer Ardinger of Mercersburg, Pa.; four grandchildren; one stepgrandson and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. The Rev. Arvel J. Barrett will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 9 a.m.

Robert L. Stanford


WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Robert L. Stanford, 48, of Waynesboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born May 12, 1954, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Vivian R. Seymore Stanford of Philadelphia and the late Robert L. Stanford.

He was a 1972 graduate of Germantown High School. In 1976, he received a degree in business administration from Western New England College in Springfield, Mass.

He was employed in retail management by CVS Pharmacy Corporation first in Albany, N.Y., and later in Vineland, N.J. In 1982, he was employed by the Department of Defense in Oakland, Calif. In August 2001, he worked for the Hagerstown Airport as a quality assurance specialist, reviewing government contracts in the Defense Contract Management Department.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Leslie J. Seymore of Philadelphia; one nephew and three great-nieces.

A memorial service will be Saturday, March 1, at noon at Second Baptist Church of Germantown, Philadelphia. The Rev. Ernest Flores will officiate.

Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematorium, Waynesboro.




Dorothy M. Young


Dorothy Marie Ernst Young, 88, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Oct. 11, 1914, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Gilbert and Alice Laura Chrisman Ernst.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, the Rev. Eugene W. Young, in 1990.
