Tapping fee increase considered

February 05, 2003|by SCOTT BUTKI

The Boonsboro Town Council on Monday voted to introduce a resolution to increase its tapping fee for some future property owners.

The fee is charged when the town connects a property to the town's water system, Town Manager John Kendall said.

The town is proposing increasing the tapping fee for townhouses from $3,750 to $5,000, he said.

A public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 3 at the council's meeting room at Shafer Park.

The change, if approved that day, will take effect that day.
