Joan M. Juenger


SCOTLAND, Pa. - Joan Marlene Juenger, 70, of Scotland, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Nov. 21, 1932, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Helen Bailey Bietsch.

Her husband, Robert E. Juenger Sr., died Jan. 26, 1977.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Juenger of Chambersburg, Steven Juenger of Scotland, and James Juenger; one daughter, Lisa Hartley of Lewes, Del.; five sisters, Betty Piper of Lewes, Pat Sanders of Houston, Shirley Martin of Fayetteville, Pa., and Nancy Pittman and Linda Besecker, both of Chambersburg; three brothers, Donald Bietsch and Larry Bietsch, both of Chambersburg, and Douglas Bietsch of Shippensburg, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert E. Juenger Jr.; and two brothers, Merle Bietsch Jr. and Jack Bietsch.

Services will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Wilbur Besecker will officiate.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.




Todd A. Gordon


FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Todd Andrew Gordon, 40, of Falling Waters, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, in Laurel, Md.

Born Aug. 14, 1962, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Monte W. and Nancy L. Ernde Gordon of Falling Waters.

He was a graduate of Hedgesville (W.Va.) High School.

He was employed at Laurel, Bowie and Pimlico Race Tracks.

He was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Williamsport.

He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Maryland Horseman's Association.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Angela Gordon of Falling Waters, and Linda Kuczynski of Williamsport; two brothers, Mark Gordon of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Scott Gordon of Falling Waters; and nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be at the convenience of the family in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Alfred E. Smith will officiate.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown.




K. Diane Barkdoll


IJAMSVILLE, Md. - K. Diane Barkdoll, 48, of 9949 Dr. Perry Road, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 7, 1954, in Montgomery County, Md., she was the daughter of Roger Levasseur and Katherine Thompson of West Virginia. She was raised by her late grandmother, Estaline Pine.

She was employed as a claims associate at Wal-Mart in Frederick.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Ronald Richard Barkdoll; one daughter, Angel Bolyard of Frederick; three sons, Ronnie Barkdoll Jr. of Harrisonburg, Va., and Michael Barkdoll and Scotti Barkdoll, both of Urbana, Md.; one sister, Connie Paris of Georgia; several half-brothers and half-sisters; three grandchildren; and aunts, uncles and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Levasseur.

Services will be Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown, Md. The Rev. Tim Martin will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Naomi C. Tracy


Naomi Catherine Davis Tracy, 90, of Hagerstown, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Washington County Hospital.

Dorothy I. Keefer


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Dorothy Irene Melius Keefer, 71, of 755 Salem Road, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born May 18, 1931, in Hustontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Annie Snyder Melius.

She worked at H.J. Heinz in Chambersburg, and later worked at Corning in Greencastle, Pa., for 30 years.

She attended King Street United Brethren Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Keefer; five sons, Wesley Keefer of Shippensburg, Pa., Dennis Keefer and Kevin Keefer, both of Chambersburg, Terry Keefer of Lancaster, Pa., and Brian Keefer of St. Thomas, Pa.; three daughters, Donna Zullinger of St. Thomas, and Nancy Keefer and Trina Keefer, both of Chambersburg; three brothers, Raymond Melius of Carlisle, Pa., Allen Melius of Chambersburg, and Donald Melius of Denver; one sister, Helen Krugh of Chambersburg; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Higgins.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Lester Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 2 p.m. for the convenience of friends, and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
