Family: Single.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English from Shippensburg University

Mentor: "My family is my biggest mentor for life. My cooperating teachers during student teaching had a very positive influence on the way that I teach now. Many teachers at Springfield are both mentors and friends in and outside of the classroom."

Favorite part of the job: "When I hear students say that they love coming to school because they are a part of my class, it makes the job very worthwhile and rewarding. The various personalities and attitudes of students make every day different and exciting. The staff at Springfield makes my job very fun to come to on a daily basis."

Biggest challenges of your job: "Every student comes with different learning styles and abilities. I need to make sure I can reach and accommodate everyone."


Favorite music: Rhythm and blues, country.

Favorite car: Volkswagen Passat.

Reading now: "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser.

Last movie seen: "Lilo and Stitch."

Favorite TV show: "Ed."

Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, reading, running, shopping.

If you could meet anyone in history, who would it be? "Mother Teresa because she had so much to give and expected nothing in return."
