Planning panel OKs jogging track project

January 30, 2003|byq SCOTT BUTKI

The Hagerstown Planning Commission Wednesday approved a grading plan for a jogging track that would be located behind the Hagerstown YMCA building on YMCA property.

Only a grading plan is required for the project because of the limited impact the jogging track will have on the property, Planner Megan Gedney said.

The track will be 1/3 mile long, YMCA Executive Director Michael Flicek said.

Work on the jogging track will begin in early Spring, Flicek said.

The cost to the Hagerstown YMCA will be less than $1,500 because the labor and materials for the project have been donated, Flicek said.
