Cole's baskets save SJPH - roundup

GIRLS BASKETBALL



FREDERICK, Md. - With No. 3 St. John's at Prospect Hall down 67-62 in overtime, Kenan Cole made three straight baskets, including the game-winner with two seconds remaining, to lift the Vikings over the Institute of Notre Dame 68-67 on Saturday.

Cole ended up with 28 points and 13 rebounds to lead St. John's (12-6), while Marta Merkel had 22 points and four steals and Monica Merkel added four steals.
