Man, 33, killed in crash

A Washington County man was killed and two other people were injured early Saturday morning when the vehicle they were in crashed into G.A. Miller Lumber Co. Inc. in Williamsport, the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.

The accident happened just before 3:30 a.m. on West Potomac and Commerce streets. The lumber company is at 142 W. Potomac St.

Matthew Scott Comer, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Comer was driving a GMC Jimmy north on Potomac Street when the vehicle left the road at a turn and traveled through a culvert before slamming into Miller Lumber Co., police said.

Deputies arrived on the scene to find Comer and two passengers, Ronald William Curry, 39, and Kelly Delores Galla, 23, trapped in the vehicle.

The vehicle was registered to Galla.

There was no information available Saturday night on the addresses of the passengers.

Curry and Galla were taken to Washington County Hospital. Hospital officials said Galla was in fair condition Saturday night. Curry was treated and released.

Deputy 1st Class Chris Miller investigated the accident.
