Area Roundup - Hawks break even with win

BEL AIR, Md. - Lawrence Wingate and Peter Sajery each scored 17 points as Hagerstown Community College got back to the .500 mark with an 83-78 Maryland JuCo Conference win over Harford on Wednesday.

Sajery finished with a double-double, adding 10 rebounds. Clif Carey had 14 points, Thomas Johnson had 10 points and six rebounds and Tavis Green added six rebounds for the Hawks (9-9, 6-6).

CLEAR SPRING - Clear Spring used the press early and Will Worthington scoring 14 of his 22 points in the second half to pull away from Forbes Road.

The Blazers (5-8) pulled out to a 10-4 lead before settling for a 20-9 advantage at the end of the first quarter and 35-19 edge at the half. Worthington scored eight points to the third to help put the game away.

Worthington also had six rebounds while Cody Beard had eight assists.
