McCauley-Mowen

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey McCauley Sr. of Big Pool announce the engagement of their son, Jeffrey Lynn McCauley Jr., to Kari Lee Ann Mowen, daughter of Robert Mowen of Clear Spring and the late Barbara Mowen.

Ms. Mowen is a 2001 graduate of Clear Spring High School and is attending Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in English with certification to teach secondary education. She is employed as a jewelry consultant at Sears in Valley Mall.

Mr. McCauley is a 1999 graduate of Clear Spring High School. He plans to graduate in May, summa cum laude, from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W.Va., with a bachelor of science degree in computer science. He is employed by United Parcel Service in Hagerstown as a supervisor.

An Aug. 9 wedding is planned.

Thomas-Barr

Stephanie K. Thomas and Shane A. Barr of San Antonio, Texas, announce their engagement.

Ms. Thomas is the daughter of Roy and Lorna Thomas of Greencastle, Pa. She is a 1991 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and a 1996 graduate of Temple University with a bachelor of arts degree in English. She is employed as office manager with WestOne & Associates Inc. in San Antonio.

Mr. Barr is the son of Jimmie and Jeannine Barr of San Antonio. He is a 1991 graduate of Thomas Clark High School and a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science degree in genetics and biochemistry. He is employed as an outside salesman with WestOne & Associates Inc.

A May wedding is planned.

Tobias-Lewis

Kermit and Annetia Tobias of Fredonia, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly, to Michael Lewis, son of Gary and Colleen Lewis of Smithsburg.

Ms. Tobias is a 1992 graduate of Lakeview High School in Stoneboro, Pa., and a 1996 graduate of Clarion University in Clarion, Pa. She is employed as assistant manager of the Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store in Hagerstown.

Mr. Lewis is a 1994 graduate of Smithsburg High School and a 1999 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va. He is employed as a mechanical engineer for Mack Trucks in Hagerstown.

A May 10 wedding is planned.
