UNION BRIDGE, Md. - No. 7 North Hagerstown overwhelmed Francis Scott Key with seven steals in the first quarter off its fullcourt man pressure to build a 13-point lead and pull away to an easy 91-45 Monocacy Valley Athletic League win on Wednesday.

Purnell Spruce led the onslaught with all four of his steals to open the game and get the Hubs (9-2, 5-2) started in a game where the whole team played and scored.

Quielan Gantt led North with 21 points while Spruce had 12 points to go with 11 assists. Bernard Harris had 13 points while Arthur Claybon and E.J. Brown finished with eight rebounds each.

FREDERICK, Md. - Elyon Bush hit the game-winning shot with 11 seconds left in overtime, and Curtis Crews had a crucial blocked shot with time running out for Frederick as the Cadets defeated Urbana.

Kruws ended up with 21 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks while Bush added 11 points, eight rebounds and seven steals for Frederick (8-4).
