WOMEN'S HOOPS



Hagerstown Community College commited 34 turnovers, but overcame them with a season-high 19 steals as the Hawks easily defeated the College of Southern Maryland 69-34 in the Maryland JuCo Conference Monday.

HCC (9-5, 4-1) closed the first half on an 18-2 run and continued to pressure Southern Maryland to seal the victory.

Kristy Gaines scored a team-high 18 points, while Kim Davis had 12 and Autumn Parson added 11 for Hagerstown. Ashley Mason recorded six rebounds and six steals in the victory.

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Southern Fulton used smothering defense to make up for poor shooting in defeating Chestnut Ridge in the Sideling Hill League.

Samantha Cain led the Indians (10-2, 5-2) with 14 points, while Candace Bard and Jenny Liggett each added 11. Bard also grabbed eight rebounds in the victory.

Williamsport Assembly of God 62, Gateway 55: Williamsport got 17 points from Jamie Himes and 16 from Jason Barney. Matt Shelton had 15 points for Gateway.
