Suns get new voice

January 08, 2003

The Foxx network is coming to Hagerstown.

The Single-A affiliate of the South Atlantic League hired Loren Foxx on Monday to become the Voice of the Suns for the 2003 season.

Foxx, 29, comes to the Suns after spending six years in careers ranging from public accountancy to pharmaceutical sales with sports work intertwined. He spent four years as the play-by-play announcer for the Corona del Mar Sea Kings, one year with the Mission Viejo Vigilantes of the Western Baseball League, and five years as the sports editor for the 28th Street Magazine.

"This is my dream, being able to come to work at the ballpark every day," said Foxx. "To be able to accomplish this with an established franchise such as the Suns makes it all the better."
