City Council honors MVPs from classic

HAGERSTOWN - The Hagerstown City Council on Tuesday presented to representatives of North Hagerstown and South Hagerstown high schools plaques bearing the name of each school's Most Valuable Player in the Hagerstown Gridiron Championship Classic.

The city renamed the annual football game between North Hagerstown and South Hagerstown high schools and awarded a trophy to the winning team.

The MVP for South High was Josh Bussard, while North's MVP was Bobby Waugh.

South Hagerstown won the November game by a score of 39-0.
