Edward Jones

Edward Jones ranked No. 1 in Registered Representative magazine's annual survey of the nation's eight largest financial services firm in 2001.

It was the 10th consecutive year in which Edward Jones was ranked in the top spot, according to a company press release.


Edward Jones earned the top score in 17 of 19 categories, the magazine reported in its December issue. Categories include work environment, quality of products and operations and overall management.

Fulton Financial

LANCASTER, Pa. - Fulton Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: FULT) is authorized to repurchase up to three million shares, or approximately 3 percent of its own stock through June 30, 2003, under a program approved in December by its board of directors.

The new program replaces a similar program established by the board in January 2002 and extended in June 2002 in which the corporation repurchased 2.6 million shares of its own stock. As of Nov. 30, the corporation had 101.1 million shares of stock outstanding.

Rufus A. Fulton Jr., chairman and chief executive officer, said the repurchased shares will continue to be added to the corporate treasury.
