Warrants issued in shooting

December 30, 2002

Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a shooting two weeks ago at the Tego Bay night club outside of Martinsburg.

Warrants have been issued charging Terrick LaGrand, 23, with two counts of wanton endangerment, two counts of malicious wounding and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a press release issued Friday by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department.

The shooting occurred Dec. 15 in the club's parking lot. One man was shot once in the foot, while a second man was shot once in the thigh. Neither was seriously injured, according to police.

Witnesses described the shooter as a man named "Sticks," and later, after being shown his picture, identified LaGrand as the shooter, according to Lt. K.C. Bohrer. LaGrand was seen leaving the shooting in a sport utility vehicle, either a black Lincoln Navigator or a Ford Expedition, Bohrer said.
