Booth-Merrill

Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Peggy Booth of Frostburg, Md., announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Ann, to Anthony "Tony" Leo Merrill, son of Todd Merrill of Salisbury, Pa., and Louise Merrill of Grantsville, Md.

Ms. Booth is a 1993 graduate of Beall Junior-Senior High School in Frostburg, the Center for Career and Technical Education of Allegany County in Cresaptown, Md., and is a 1997 graduate of Mineral County School of Practical Nursing in Keyser, W.Va. She is employed as a licensed practical nurse by Mid-Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists in Hagerstown.

Mr. Merrill is a 1991 graduate of Salisbury Elk Lick School. He is a petty officer third class aviation ordnanceman in the U.S. Navy. He is serving aboard the USS Iwo-Jima (LHD-7) in Norfolk, Va.

Crist-Schnebly

Jeff and Carolyn Crist of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacie Nicole Crist, to Jeremy Nicholas Schnebly, son of Pamela and John Schnebly of Clear Spring.

Ms. Crist is a 2001 graduate of Clear Spring High School and plans to graduate from Hagers-town Community College in spring 2004 with an associate's degree in nursing. She then plans to pursue bachelor's and master's degrees toward a career as a nurse practitioner in pediatrics.

Mr. Schnebly is a 2001 graduate of Clear Spring High School. He is employed as a dairy farmer.

A wedding date has not been set.




Figel-Taylor

Mr. and Mrs. Frank R. Figel of Valrico, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Elaine, of West Norriton, Pa., to Sean Patrick Taylor of Whitehall, Pa., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor of Bowmanstown, Pa.

Ms. Figel is a graduate of Frostburg State University. She is employed as operation support manager for Xerox Corp.

Mr. Taylor is a graduate of York College in York, Pa. He is employed as a Pennsylvania State Trooper.

A September wedding is planned.




Newbraugh-Shockey

Mr. and Mrs. H. William Newbraugh of Martinsburg, W.Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Marie Newbraugh, to Cody Elliott Shockey, son of Boyd L. Shockey of Brandywine, W.Va., and Bonnie M. Shockey of Martinsburg.

Ms. Newbraugh is a 1997 graduate of Martinsburg High School and attended West Virginia University and Shepherd College. She is a graduate of International Beauty School. She is employed by 9-West Hair Studio as a licensed cosmetologist.

Mr. Shockey is a 1996 graduate of Franklin High School and attended Marshall University and Shepherd College. He is employed by Newbraugh's Lumber and Building Supply Inc. in Martinsburg.

A garden wedding is planned for June 7 at the home of the bride's parents.




Castang-Alwell

Anna Marie Castang and Gary Keith Alwell wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Castang is the daughter of Melda M. Castang of Hagerstown and the late Paul L. Castang. She is a graduate of Truth for Youth School in Hagerstown. She is employed by Cumberland Valley Analytical Services in Hagerstown.

Mr. Alwell is the son of Albert and Barbara Alwell of Deville, La. He is a graduate of Buckeye High School in Deville. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in August 2002. He is employed by McKesson APS in Pineville, La.

An April 25 wedding is planned.




Buehler-Goulden

Donald and Georgia Harding of Smithsburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Kristen Buehler, to Tod David Goulden, son of Carl and Wanda Goulden of Littlestown, Pa. Miss Buehler is also the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael G. Buehler of Kennesaw, Ga. and the granddaughter of Helen B. Pencek of Waynesboro, Pa. and the late Edward A. Pencek.

Miss Buehler is a 1996 graduate of Smithsburg High School and is attending Hagerstown Community College. She is a certified pharmacy technician at CVS Pharmacy in Hagerstown.

Mr. Goulden is a 1988 graduate of Littlestown High School and a 1996 graduate of Penn State, Mont Alto, Pa. He is a registered nurse at Waynesboro Hospital and also is a paramedic with Westshore Emergency Medical Services in Chambersburg, Pa.




Ingram-Weddle

Laura Renee Ingram and Jason Richard Weddle wish to announce their engagement.

Miss Ingram is the daughter of Ronald and Sharon Ingram of Sharpsburg. She is a 1995 graduate of Boonsboro High School, a 1999 graduate of Frostburg State University and will receive a master's degree in business administration from Mount St. Mary's College in May. She is employed as a human resources supervisor of MAMSI, in Frederick, Md.

Mr. Weddle is the son of Tina Lewis of Hagerstown and David Weddle of Bunker Hill, W.Va. He is a 1993 graduate of Boonsboro High School, a 1998 graduate of Salisbury University and received a master's degree in exercise physiology from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2001. He is employed as an athletic trainer at Hagerstown Community College.

A Nov. 22 wedding is planned.




Marks-Tarry

Robert and Betty Marks announce the engagement of their daughter, Roberta Irene Marks, to Christopher David Tarry, son of Steven and Susan Tarry of Chesapeake Beach, Md.

Ms. Marks is a 1987 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. She attended Hagerstown Community College and Hagerstown Business College where her studies were in the medical field. She is employed at Hub Labels in Hagerstown.

Mr. Tarry is a 1985 graduate of Northern High School. He is employed as a printer at Hub Labels.

Sirk-Luther

Mr. Luther is the son of Larry and Barbara Luther of Hagerstown. He is a 1996 graduate of Smithsburg High School. He is employed by Food Lion.
