Allegheny Energy Supply's hearing before an administrative law judge over two supply contracts with the state of California wrapped up last week, a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission spokeswoman said Monday.

A decision by administrative law Judge Bobbie McCartney is expected by Feb. 14, FERC spokeswoman Barbara Connors said. The hearing began Dec. 2.

The largest of the two contracts is a $1.3 billion asset for Allegheny's parent company, Allegheny Energy. When the contract was signed in March 2001, the company stated it would be worth $4.5 billion during its 11-year term, Allegheny Energy Supply spokeswoman Janice Lantz has said.
