Linda M. Kline

WOLFSVILLE, Md. - Linda M. Kline, 54, of Wolfsville, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born April 22, 1948, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Dorotha V. Martin Nusbaum.

She retired after 30 years with Myersville Bank. She was vice president of the bank and served as secretary to the board of directors until her retirement. She was employed by Progressive Auto Insurance in Frederick, Md.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Wolfsville, where she served as financial secretary, was a member of the choir and treasurer of the Bee-Leivers Women's Group. She served on committees and had been the coordinator of aspects of the Lord's Acre Festival.

She is survived by her husband, Richard George Kline; one daughter, Vicki A. Robinson of Wolfsville; two sisters, Joann D. Leatherman of Myersville, and Marlene B. Young of Smithsburg; one granddaughter; one niece; and two nephews.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, Wolfsville. The Rev. Randall Reid will officiate. Burial will be in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, Myersville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o William G. Burrier, Treasurer, P.O. Box 94, Myersville, MD 21773.




Helen E. Goff

Helen E. Goff, 95, of 1304 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, and formerly of South Burhans Boulevard, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at Coffman Nursing Home.

Born July 9, 1907, in Duffields, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Garfield and Birdie May Manual Racey.

Her husband, James H. Goff, died in 1979.

She retired from Interwoven Hosiery Mill.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one stepson, Robert C. Goff of Hagerstown; one sister, Julia Palmer of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one stepgrandson; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, L. Virginia Jacobs, Aileen Coulter and Sarah Propps; and three brothers, Blaine Racey, Elmer Racey and Raymond Racey.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown. The Rev. Thom C. Smith will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Dorothy M. Jumper

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Dorothy M. Jumper, 71, of 1464 Lincoln Way West, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at her home.

Born May 11, 1931, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Reba Poe Pensinger.

She worked as a nanny for Julie Kegerreis in Chambersburg for the past 10 years. She had owned and operated Jumper's Tavern, the Terminal Restaurant and Jumper's Mobile Home Park and Apartments in Chambersburg.

She attended Fayetteville (Pa.) Church of God, and Eastern Gate Chapel in Marion, Pa.

She bowled in Candle Scent League at Nellie Fox Bowl, Chambersburg. She had bowled in leagues, traveling to state and national championships.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Jumper and Ray Jumper, both of Chambersburg; one daughter, Carolyn Oliver of Cornelius, N.C.; one sister, Edna Hippensteel of Shippensburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas (Pa.) Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday at noon.




Jacob L. Reid Sr.

Jacob Levi Reid Sr., 90, of 9416 Garis Shop Road, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at Julia Manor Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 22, 1912, in Washington County, he was the son of the late Ivan C. and Alice Beachley Reid.

His wife, Mary Etta Reid, died in 1995.

He was employed by Pangborn Corp. for 37 years, retiring in 1974.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown.

He was a member of AARP and had been a member of Funkstown Fire Co.

He is survived by one son, David E. Reid of Hagerstown; one brother, Charles Reid of Hagers-town; two granddaughters, Julie Smith and Lisa King; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Jacob L. Reid Jr. and Russell L. Reid; two sisters, Mae Bennett and Irma Thomas; and two brothers, Donald Reid and Paul Reid.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagers-town. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagers-town.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




Robert B. Liskey Jr.

Argielle M. Liskey

EASTON, Md. - Dr. Robert B. Liskey Jr., of Wittman, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Hospice House Easton.

His wife, Argielle M. Liskey, also died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Easton.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
