WOMEN'S HOOPS



COLUMBIA, Md. - Kim Davis scored 26 points to lead Hagerstown Community College to a 79-67 win over Howard Community College in a Maryland JuCo game on Saturday.

Davis made 11 of 19 shots and added six rebounds in leading HCC (6-3, 2-0 Maryland JuCo).

Shepherd loses two players to season-ending injuries


SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Shepherd College lost freshman guard Ross Mitchell and sophomore center Matt Slaninka for the season due to injuries sustained this week.

Mitchell suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament, while Slaninka fractured his ankle. Both players are seeking medical redshirts for this season.

John Weber led the Indians (2-4) with 17 points while Micheal Sanders added 14.

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Shipley, Pa., won the boys and girls titles in the Tom Flanagan Tournament.

Mercersburg Academy's boys had one victory in three games, a 4-3 win over St. Anne's Belfield, Va. They lost to Shipley, Pa., 7-0, and Woodberry, Va., 5-2.

Mercersburg's girls lost to National Cathedral, 7-0, and The Hill School, 5-2.
