Woman faces charges in husband's stabbing
A Hagerstown woman was arrested Friday after her husband was stabbed in the arm with a steak knife, the Washington County Sheriff's Department said Saturday.
Adrene A. Harper, 49, was charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment and carrying a deadly weapon, the Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
At 11:40 a.m. deputies went to Harper's home at 19242 Jamestown Drive and learned her husband had been stabbed with a steak knife. After he took the knife and broke it, he received a cut to his hands from a second knife, police said.
Harper is also accused of damaging the house and chasing her husband and daughter with the knives, police said.
She was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond, police said.
Man in snowmobile crash in critical condition
A Hagerstown man remained in critical condition Saturday from injuries he received when his snowmobile collided head-on with a pickup truck on Airview Road near Paradise Church Road Thursday night.
