Shepherd's Tyler wins No. 100

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Shepherd basketball coach Ken Tyler recorded his 100th career victory Tuesday night as the Rams defeated Bloomsburg University, 77-74.

Mark Jennings scored a career-high 24 points for Shepherd (3-1), hitting 11 of 18 from the floor and all five of his free throws.

Keith Fanjoy contributed 16 points and Keith Davis added 11 along with a team-high seven rebounds.

Eric Longerbeam hit all five of his shots in the first quarter to score 14 of his game-high 31 points to lead Broadfording Christian to a victory over New Life Christian.

Longerbeam hit four 3s in the first quarter as the Lions built a 25-8 lead and never looked back. Longerbeam scored his points in the first three quarters.

Jon Bishop scored 10 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Lions (2-1).

Grace Academy opened its season with a win over Bishop Walsh, thanks to a big second half.

Jarred Barnhart scored 12 of his 17 points in the third period when Grace outscored Bishop Walsh 22-8 to erase a 23-17 halftime deficit. Brian Lantz took scoring honors for Grace with 20 points along with six assists.
