Ralph V. Neikirk

Ralph Vincent Neikirk, 83, of 14014 Marsh Pike, Hagerstown, and formerly of 1344 Salem Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Avalon Manor Health Care Center.

Born Nov. 2, 1919, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late David Earl and Margaret Estella Hoover Neikirk.

He was employed by the State of Maryland at the Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown for 25 years, retiring in 1982.

He was a member of the Brethren Church.

He also was a member of Hagerstown Lodge 378 B.P.O. Elks and Maryland State Retirees Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Katherine Kohler of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one son, Robert Andrew of Middletown, Md.; one sister, M. Regina Minnich of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, S. Elizabeth-Marsee Guild; and one brother, Robert A. Neikirk.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. James A. Dodge will officiate. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday at 12:30 p.m.




H.N. Clifford

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - H.N. Clifford, 80, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.

Born Dec. 25, 1921, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Frederick and Lena Petrilla Clifford.

He retired from United Airlines. He was an electrical inspector in Berkeley County, W.Va. and Frederick County, Md. He and his wife owned and operated Jo Ann's Pantry Restaurant.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.

He was a member of Martinsburg Lodge 120 Loyal Order of the Moose; Knights of Columbus Martinsburg Council 1169; and Pikeside Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Smith Clifford; one daughter, Shelia Sheehan of Indianapolis; two sons, Glenn Clifford of Martinsburg and Gary Clifford of Alabama; one stepdaughter, Diana C. Adams of Frederick, Md.; one stepson, John W. Edwards of Morgantown, W.Va.; and one sister, Lalah Welch of Virginia.

Services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Walter Bowers will officiate.

Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berkeley County Humane Society, 1531 Charles Town Road, Martinsburg, WV 25401.




Brandeis D. Wilson

RANSON, W.Va. - Brandeis Danielle Wilson, 18, of Ranson, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born June 8, 1984, in Charles Town, W.Va., she was the daughter of John C. Wilson of Inwood, W.Va., and Carolyn L. Bradford of Ranson.

She was a 2002 graduate of Jefferson High School in Shenandoah Junction, W.Va. She was a freshman at Shenandoah University in Winchester.

She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Charles Town, the Bradford Singers and the Gospel Choir.

She was a member of Inwood Performing Arts.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Natacha Wilson of Ranson; maternal grandfather, Frank Bradford of Ranson; two brothers, Caleb Wilson and Adam Wilson, both of Inwood; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Bradford.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Covenant Baptist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va. The Revs. Otis James, Sherman Mason and Ernest Lyles will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.

Vivian G. Long

KENNESAW, Ga. - Vivian G. Long, 80, of Kennesaw, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, in Kennesaw.

Born in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edgar Hays Sr. and Bessie Florence Moore Hays.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Long.

She is survived by one daughter, Sherry L. Cassaw of Kennesaw; one son, Laurence L. Long of Greensburg, Pa.; two sisters, H. Helene Pickral of Norfolk, Va. and Patricia A. Pryor of Hagerstown; two brothers, Jack C. Hays Sr. of Hagerstown and Clarence E. Hays Jr. of Callaway, Md.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, L. Virginia Kline and B. Nadine Dill.

Services were Saturday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, Kennesaw. Burial was in National Cemetery in Georgia.

Larry E. Fulgenzi

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Larry Eugene Fulgenzi, 60, of 2424 Lincoln Way West, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born May 15, 1942, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Ermetti and Thelman Salyards Fulgenzi.
