W.Va. state police plan crackdown

West Virginia State Police will be part of three nationwide efforts to crack down on drunk driving, child restraint violations and other traffic violations from Nov. 18 through Dec. 2, according to a written statement from police.

The police will be part of the Click It or Ticket Campaign, Operation ABC Mobilization: America Buckles Up Children and Operation CARE: Combined Accident Reduction Effort.

Click It or Ticket, meant to promote seat belt use, will run Nov. 18-Nov. 2.

Operation ABC Mobilization, which is designed to increase the use of child passenger safety seats, will run Nov. 25-Dec. 1.

Operation CARE, which enforces speeding violations, driving under the influence and other traffic violations, is scheduled for Nov. 27-Dec. 1.
