Berkeley Springs shut out in first playoff game

RIDGELY, W.Va. - Sam Castillo rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns for fourth-seeded Frankfort (9-2) in a 48-0 win over Berkeley Springs (7-4) in the first round of the Class AA playoffs Saturday.

Castillo scored on runs of 58, 4, 67 and 18 yards for Frankfort, which plays No. 5 Wayne in the second round.

Frankfort held a 406-227 advantage in total offense.

Morgantown 52, Woodrow Wilson 0

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Geremy Rodamer had a hand in each of No. 1 Morgantown's seven touchdowns as the Mohigans beat No. 16 Woodrow Wilson in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs.

The victory sets up next weekend's second-round matchup with crosstown rival University (9-2), the No. 8 seed.

Rodamer had five touchdown runs, a 40-yard TD reception and he completed a 23-yard scoring pass to Seth Fogarty. Rodamer scored on runs of 6, 3, 3, 1 and 15 yards.


Rodamer finished with 103 yards on 23 carries.

Morgantown (11-0) outgained Woodrow Wilson 434-55 and held a 324-55 advantage in rushing yards. The Flying Eagles (5-6) did not complete a pass.
