HCC's Davis All-American

LOVELAND, Texas - Hagerstown Community College freshman Ryan Davis, a Clear Spring garduate, earned All-American honors Saturday at the NJCAA Cross Country Championships, held at South Plains Community College.

Davis finished 19th overall and 13th among American Division II athletes, running the eight-kilometer course in 28 minutes, 30 seconds.

The Hawks' mens team finished ninth out of 11 squads. Boonsboro grad Brian Lewis was 40th (30:01), Nathan White was 45th (30:24), Ike Cartledge was 57th (31:11) and North Hagerstown grad Tyler Snyder was 68th (32:44).

Smithsburg graduate Laura Stouffer finished 18th in the women's race in 20:20, while Carrie Hartman - Stouffer's teammate with the Leopards as well as the Hawks - finished 48th in 22:15. Both athletes ran personal bests.
