Saturday's roundup - Patriots stumble in 4A East final

November 11, 2002

FREDERICK, Md. - Broadneck put up some strong defensive resistance to put Thomas Johnson on its heels and take away a 9-15, 15-11, 15-12, 15-6 victory Friday in the Maryland Class 4A East Region final.

"They played real good defense on us," Thomas Johnson coach Jim Dorsch. "Erin (Maldo) hit the ball well, but they were digging the ball and getting it back consistently.
