Born Nov. 7, 1939, in Gettysburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles Thomas and Treva Weikert Ziegler.

He was a 1957 graduate of Gettysburg High School.

He was a self-employed photographer. He opened his first studio in Gettysburg and was the photographer for former president Dwight Eisenhower, taking many photographs at the Eisenhower Farm in Gettysburg. In 1982, he purchased Crouse Studio in Waynesboro and operated Ziegler Studio since that time.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Waynesboro.

He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15 of Waynesboro, BPO Elks Lodge 731 of Waynesboro and Good Samaritan Lodge 336 of Gettysburg.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Scott Ziegler, whom he married Feb. 17, 1982; a daughter, Diane Campbell of Arendtsville, Pa.; two sons, Robert C. Ziegler of Myersville, Md., and Scott A. Ziegler at home; a sister, Barbara Helmuth of Prospect Park, Pa.; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Ziegler.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Pastor James T. Williams will officiate.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.




Nellie B. Hornbaker

Nellie Blanche Hornbaker, 92, of Hagerstown, who died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, was preceded in death by her sister, Olive Graves.




Deloris H. Scarlett

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Deloris H. Scarlett, 73, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Shenandoah Health Village Center, Charles Town, W.Va.

Born Nov. 6, 1928, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Nettie Logue Hess.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin F. Scarlett.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa M. Land, and a sister, Juanita M. Gregory, both of Martinsburg.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Freda Grove, and a brother, Walter Hess.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Rosedale Cemetery. The Rev. Terri Cofiell will officiate.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.




Willford M. Caton

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Willford M. Caton, 91, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.

Born Oct. 11, 1911, in Reliance, Va., she was the daughter of the late Marion and Regina Dean.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Boyd Caton.

She was a member of Moler Avenue Church of the Brethren.

She was a member of Golden Rule Chapter 69 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two grandsons, Stephen Kramerage and Michael Kramerage, both of Martinsburg; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty L. Caton, and a brother, Benjamin Dean.

Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Eddie H. Edmonds will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




Dorothy A. Forcino

Dorothy Adams Forcino, 78, of 10834 Roessner Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at her home.

Born Nov. 23, 1923, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Ernest C. and Pauline C. Zeller Fink.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Forcino, in 1977.

She was employed by Washington County Public Schools as a cafeteria worker at South Hagerstown High School for 15 years.

She attended Otterbein United Methodist Church where she was a member of Fidelity Sunday school class and taught a Sunday school class.

She was a past member and volunteer of the Halfway Fire Co. Auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna M. Dinkle of Lake Hopatcong, N.J.; a son, C. Douglas Forcino of Frederick, Md.; a sister, Evelyn Johns of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; a brother, Bruce H. Fink of Hagerstown; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Bruce W. Forcino; a brother, Ernest C. Fink Jr.; and a granddaughter.

Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Revs. Stephen D. Robison and Patricia L. Sebring will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
