The Washington County Board of Education held an Evening with the Board at Northern Middle School Tuesday, asking parents for feedback on recent School Board decisions.

About 40 people were present at the roundtable discussion held in one corner of Northern Middle School's media center toward the closing of the 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. meeting.

School Board members and school officials were present along with some parents, teachers and coaches.

Items discussed ranged from the North High School Stadium athletic complex proposal, an International Baccalaureate program and foreign language curriculum in middle and elementary schools.

The School Board asked for feedback on how the school system handled sniper threats and whether the group would support funding for a safety specialist.

The votes were made electronically through remotes to a head computer. About 25 people voted in each category, including some School Board members. The results were immediately posted in favor of the School Board on each question.
