Crash hurts three

LEITERSBURG - Three people were taken to Washington County Hospital following a two-vehicle accident on Md. 60 at Longmeadow Road around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Sherman Lee Lynn, 34, of 919 Kenly Ave., was listed in good condition Tuesday evening, hospital officials said.

His passenger, Steven Melvin Bowman, 31, of 326 S. Potomac St., was still in the emergency room Tuesday night.

Lynn was the driver of a 1989 Chevrolet Astro van that was eastbound on Md. 60 when it collided with a 1990 Ford Bronco that pulled onto the highway from the parking lot of a furniture store, Maryland State Police said.

Victoria Frances Rho, 53, of State Line, Pa., was the driver of the Bronco, police said.

Rho also was still in the emergency room Tuesday night, hospital officials said.

Cpl. Ben Townes Jr. was investigating the cause of the accident.
