Patricia L. Boucher

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A memorial service for Patricia L. Boucher, 58, of 704 Cumberland Ave., who died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Ronald L. Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Wellsboro, Pa.




H. Gladys Hill

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - H. Gladys Hill, 86, of the Shook Home, and formerly of 761 Warm Spring Road, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at the home.

Born Oct. 16, 1916, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late David and Blanche Bolan Caldwell.

Her husband, Leslie R. "Les" Hill, died Jan. 15, 1996.

She previously was employed by the State of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, Pa.

She was a member of King Street United Brethren Church and the Buds of Promise Sunday School class.

She is survived by one son, Larry A. Hill of Chambersburg; two grandsons, Larry A. Hill II and Michael L. Hill, both of Chambersburg; and four great-grandsons.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.




Margaret B. Hopkins

Margaret Bringle Hopkins, 84, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at Northern Virginia Community Hospital.

Born in Salisbury, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Mary and Charles Bringle.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John G. Hopkins III.

She was a graduate of St. Leo's Nursing School in Chapel Hill, N.C.

She was a registered nurse, serving as a public health nurse in North Carolina and later as head pediatric nurse at D.C. General Hospital.

She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church at Lappans Crossroad.

She volunteered at Western Maryland Hospital Center.

She is survived by one son, John G. Hopkins IV; one daughter, Mary Hopkins Moysey; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Western Maryland Hospital Center, 1500 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home, Leesburg.




Willard G. Kearns

Willard G. Kearns, 57, of Hagerstown, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Aug. 2, 1945, in Great Cacapon, W.Va., he was the son of Vilma L. Everett Mills of Hagerstown.

He was a consultant and inspector for Rummel, Klepper and Kalh Engineering of Baltimore.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Smith Kearns; one daughter, Michelle Merkel of Minneapolis; one son, Willard G. Kearns Jr. of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one stepdaughter, Tina Ardinger of Hagerstown; two stepsons, Richard Clipp of Hagerstown and O'Byrne Clipp of Clear Spring; two brothers, Larry L. Kearns of Leesburg, Va., and Raymond N. Kearns of Hagerstown; two granddaughters; eight stepgrandchildren; five nieces; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Carl Mills.

Services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2654 Valley Ave., Suite B, Winchester, VA 22601.

Arrangements are by Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown.




Julie T. Hovermale

SHARPSBURG - Julie T. Hovermale, 80, of 305 W. Chapline St., died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at her home.

Born June 27, 1922, in Ganotown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Holmes Conrad and Martha Belle Clark Chrisman.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ronald Wayne Hovermale Sr.; two sons, Jack T. Hull of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Gary C. Hull of Sharpsburg; two stepsons, Ronald W. Hovermale Jr. of Elmira, N.Y., and John J. Hovermale of Hartwood, Va.; one brother, Charles Chrisman of Darkesville, W.Va.; and six grandchildren.




Gretta V. Fletcher

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Gretta V. Fletcher, 67, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born Dec. 7, 1934, in Huntingdon, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Mierley Schucker.

She worked as a bartender for Martinsburg Moose Lodge 120.

She was a member of Women of the Moose and the American Legion.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Fletcher; three sons, Steve Case of Ellicott City, Md., Jeffrey Hanan of Downsville, and John Fletcher Jr. of Inwood, W.Va.; two daughters, Tammy Stevens of Glengary, W.Va., and Debbie Moore of Rogersville, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Pastor Jeffrey Hanan will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




William V. Albowicz

CLEAR SPRING - William Vincent Albowicz, 60, of 124-126 Cumberland St., who died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at his home, was part of a team that created the Leonard P. Snyder Public Library.
