Pereira-Bradley

Frank and Joyce Pereira of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Janene Marie Pereira, to Christopher James Bradley, son of Curt and Bonnie Bradley of Laurel, Mont.

Miss Pereira is a 1997 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, in 2001. She is employed as a registered nurse by The Children's Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.

Mr. Bradley is a 1995 graduate of Laurel High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind., in 1999, and a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in Ohio, in 2001. He is a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

A spring 2003 wedding is planned.




Knight-Stevens

Mr. and Mrs. Kevin D. Knight of Sharpsburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Beth Knight, to Matthew David Stevens, son of Mr. and Mrs. David T. Stevens of Sharpsburg.

Ms. Knight is a 2001 graduate of Boonsboro High School and studying at Hagerstown Community College, planning to complete her bachelor of arts degree in business administration at Shepherd College. She is employed at Somerford Corp. of Hagerstown as an administrative services assistant. She also is a local correspondent from the Sharpsburg/Keedysville area for The Herald-Mail.

Mr. Stevens is a 1998 graduate of Boonsboro High School and is continuing his studies in fire and rescue services. He is employed by ABC Supply Co. in Hagerstown. He is a sergeant with the Sharpsburg Volunteer Fire Department.




Shifler-Leatherman

Ron and Bette Jo Shifler of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Marie Shifler, to Michael Paul Leatherman, son of Nathan and Karen Leatherman of Frederick, Md.

Miss Shifler is a 2002 graduate of Boonsboro High School and is pursuing a degree in early childhood education at Hagerstown Community College. She is employed as an assistant teacher at Grace Child Care Center in Hagers-town.

Mr. Leatherman is a 1998 graduate of Thomas Johnson High School. He is employed by Custom Siding of Frederick.

A June 2003 wedding is planned.
