MONTGOMERY, Ala. - R&R Trim didn't believe in doing anything easily or quietly.
The Hagerstown-based softball team came back from a two-game deficit in a best-of-5 series with Team Miken with emphasis by scoring 20 runs in the first inning of the championship game for a 31-22 victory and the ASA Class B World Series championship last weekend.
R&R Trim, managed by Dick Montgomery, finished the year with a 94-26 record en route to winning their league, the state and two national bracket tournament titles to go along with the national World Series. R&R qualified for the ASA World Series by winning the East Nationals in Valdosta, Ga. last month.
R&R Trim dropped the first two games to the St. Paul, Minn., team by scores of 13-1 and 28-27 before coming back for wins of 30-27 and 29-24 to force the final game.
