Linda A. Leeper

BIG POOL - Linda A. Leeper, 51, of 13607 Indian Springs Road, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital after a nine-month illness.

Born Feb. 15, 1951, in Boston, she was the daughter of Betty J. Ricker Bruno of Chambersburg, and the late Nunzio Anthony Bruno.

She was a graduate of Revere (Mass.) High School.

She worked as a cashier at Valley Market in Clear Spring.

She was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Craig A. Leeper, whom she married July 13, 1990; one son, Raymond R. Venezia II of New York City; one daughter, Toni B. Glass of Fort Loudon, Pa.; one brother, Ronald Bruno of Fort Loudon; two grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Bruno.

Services will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle. The Rev. David Hefner will officiate. Burial will be Thursday in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus, Mass.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.




Vera Clara Cupp

Vera Clara Cupp, 75, of 12804 Oak Hill Ave., Apt. 1, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at the home of her daughter at 27 E. Sunset Ave., Williamsport.

Born Nov. 15, 1925, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Fedor and Frieda Clara Heinig Hirsch.

Her husband, Earl Henry Cupp, died in 1982.

She was employed as a telephone operator with a temporary service office.

She attended Cedar Lawn Missionary Church.

She was a member of Woodmen of the World, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary and the Second Wind Association. She also was a volunteer at Washington County Hospital.

She is survived by two daughters, Lori Knight of Gulfport, Miss., and Gail C. Cupp of Williamsport; one son, Greg A. Cupp of Williamsport; and five grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert J. Seek will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.

The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Mary L. McGinley

QUINCY, Pa. - Mary Louise Cornwell Sipe McGinley, 93, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 94 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Pa., died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at the home.

Born Aug. 9, 1909, in Williamsport, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Evans Cornwell.

Her first husband, Dr. Edward F. Sipe, died July 15, 1969. They were married in June 1937.

She was a 1929 graduate of Williamsport High School and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1932 with a degree in dental hygiene. She was an apprentice with Bryn Mawr (Pa.) Hospital.

She worked for various dentists in Ardmore, Pa., and Lebanon, Pa. She then was a teacher in the Lebanon City School District. She worked part time in her first husband's dentistry practice.

She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro.

She was a member of Waynesboro College Club of Waynesboro, Daughters of the American Revolution and National AARP. She also volunteered for Waynesboro Hospital.

She is survived by her second husband, retired Capt. Ralph C. McGinley, whom she married in April 1976; one stepdaughter, Kyle S. Ward of Dallas; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy W. Immel.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Revs. David W. Clark and Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.




Robert M. Hargleroad

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert M. Hargleroad, 70, of 6028 Cumberland Highway, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at his home.

Born Oct. 8, 1932, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Margaret Myers Hargleroad of Chambersburg and the late Melvin Hargleroad.

He was employed by Prudential Insurance Co. for 24 years, both as an agent and as a sales manager, retiring in 1990.

He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

He was a member of Greene Township Lions Club, George Washington Lodge 143 A.F. & A.M., and Chambersburg Area Republican Club; was elected Greene Township Auditor in 1996; and was a Republican Committee representative for the 3rd District.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Dolores Sites Hargleroad; one son, Michael L. Hargleroad of Chambersburg; one daughter, Bonnie Coy of Chambersburg; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Charles L. Kind will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.
