Occupation: Washington County Public Schools teacher, Grade 6 science at Smithsburg Middle School

Education: Frostburg State College

Mentor: Ebby Finzel, my high school soccer coach and Physical Education teacher.

Favorite part of the job: Watching the students eyes light up when they learn to use a new tool for the first time and incorporate its use with computer technology.

Biggest challenges of your job: Time commitments to integrate all that is required from teaching methods to evaluation of student work. Also, grant writing to fund materials and resources needed for instruction.


Favorite Music: Light rock, traditional country, jazz (Eagles, Alabama, Kenny G) variety

Favorite Car: 1956 Ford Thunderbird, a classic on my wish list.
