Noland Co.



The Noland Co. board of directors has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 8 cents, payable on Oct. 30 to stockholders of record at the close of business Oct. 14.

This is the 69th consecutive year in which Noland Co., a wholesale distributor of mechanical equipment to the building trades and industry, has paid regular cash dividends.




My Bank/First United Bank & Trust



My Bank/First United Bank & Trust invited many of its customers to act as "honorary groundbreakers" for its new office at 130 Edgewood Drive in Hagerstown.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place Sept. 4.

The Hagerstown office is scheduled to open during the first quarter of next year. It will offer traditional banking services, as well as Trust Business Insurance and brokerage services.

Frederick Brewing Co.



FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick Brewing Co. received two medals for brewing excellence at the annual Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colo.

Frederick's Wild Goose Oatmeal Stout won a bronze medal in the oatmeal stout category. There were 26 entries in the category from breweries of all sizes throughout the U.S.

The Frederick-brewed Crooked River Original ESB Ale won the Gold Medal in the Extra Special Bitter Ale category where it bested 36 other entrants, according to a company press release.




Manitowoc Co.



MANITOWOC, Wis. - The Manitowoc Co. (NYSE: MTW0) has announced preliminary earnings per share for the quarter ended Sept. 30 will range from 12 percent to 18 percent higher compared to the 51 cents earned in the third quarter of 2001.

The company's third quarter of 2002 will be off approximately 8 percent to 12 percent from the consensus estimate of 65 cents due to slowing demand for its crawler cranes.
