There are numerous dates for archery, firearm and muzzleloading hunting. Washington County is broken into two regions, each with a different schedule. The same is true for Frederick County.

For specifics, go to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources' Web site at and click on "Wildlife and Heritage." Then, click on "Hunting & Trapping - The Game Program." Then, click on "Guide to Hunting and Trapping in Maryland."

The section "Deer Management Regions & Zones" will show and describe the state's hunting regions.

Also on the "Guide to Hunting and Trapping in Maryland" page, the choices "Region A," "Region B" and "Region C" will explain the schedules and limits for Washington and Frederick counties.

The section labeled "Managed Deer Hunts" lists several programs, one of which is at Fort Frederick State Park in Washington County.
