FREDERICK, Md. - Gladimir Elysee made two penalty kick saves for No. 1 Thomas Johnson as the Patriots (9-0) defeated No. 4 Frederick (8-2) on penalty kicks, 3-2, after a scoreless tie in double overtime in the Frederick County Tournament final Wednesday night.

Walkersville 1, FSK 0

WALKERSVILLE, Md. - John Humerick scored the game-winning goal for Walkersville on an assist from Bryan Beard with less than a minute remaining in double overtime. Richie Gilbert had four saves in goal to record his second shutout of the season for Walkersville (3-6, 2-3).

No. 3 Martinsburg 1, Mercersburg 1

MARTINSBUREG, W.Va. - Matt Diller scored in the 14th minute of the first half with an assists from Austin Mort to give Mercersburg Academy (3-4-3) an early lead.Chad Crosbie scored in the 38th minut with an assist from Thad Reid for Martinsburg (10-1-3). Andrew Rohman had 13 saves for the Blue Storm while Aaron Smith made two saves for the Bulldogs. Martinsburg outshot Mercersburg, 16-4.



Goretti 2, Mercersburg 1

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Marett Diamond scored two second-half goals as St. Maria Goretti rallied past Mercersburg Academy. Rachael Hendrickson scored off a direct kick in the first half for the Blue Storm (1-9-1). Katie Chambers had one assist for Goretti (3-12).

Clear Spring 2, No. 7 Jefferson 0

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Tawyna Blair had a goal and an assist on Lauren Ebersole's game-winner as Clear Spring defeated Jefferson. Amy Mills recorded her fifth shutout of the season with 19 saves for Clear Spring (5-5-2). JV: Clear Spring, 4-0.

No. 6 North 8, FSK 0

Jen Miller and Corri Jones led the way for North with two goals each. Brenna Bacon, Kelly Salvagno, Michele Fickes and Kelsey Brasher also had goals. Jess Walters had two assists while Whitney Worten, Rachael Thomas, Kelsey Brasher and Jen Miller each had one for North (8-3, 3-3). Hubs keeper Jen Tolbert recorded the shutout.

FREDERICK, Md. - Stephanie Byrnes scored goal on an assist from Sarah Huber for Walkersville (6-4-1). Autumn Davis scored for Linganore.


Clear Spring 3, Brunswick 0

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Brittany Gruber had nine service points, three aces and three kills to lead Clear Spring to the 15-5 15-4, 15-2 victory. Jessica Semler had seven points, four aces and six assists, Lexi Shingleton had seven kills and Jamie Poffenberger added eight points and four aces for Clear Spring (2-5). JV: Clear Spring, 2-0.

FREDERICK, Md. - Jessica Goode had four kills and two digs and Lauren Graham had 12 service points and three digs for Thomas Johnson in its 15-4, 15-1, 15-6 win. Kate Martin added 10 service points, four aces and eight assists while Erin Maldo had nine service points for TJ (8-1, 4-0). JV: TJ, 2-0.

Mercersburg 3, Berkeley Springs 0

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Ashley Dougty had 10 service points, including seven in a row, nine kills and four blocks, Melissa McCartney had 15 service points as Gabby Joffie had 14 digs as Mercersburg Academy (7-3) defeated Berkeley Springs 16-14, 15-9, 15-1 on Tuesday.

Hancock 3, Goretti 1

HANCOCK - Candace Golden had 18 points, Carrie Beaver had 14 points and 21 kills, Jodi Keefer had nine points and 18 assists and Danielle Bowman had 12 assists as Hancock (8-3) beat St. Maria Goretti 15-9, 15-5, 8-15, 15-13 on Wednesday.

Samantha Fulmer had 12 points and Kelly Wills had 10 for Goretti (2-10). JV: Hancock, 15-5, 15-13.

Josh Lewis, Blaec Ramos, James Barnes, Jeff Studebaker each had a touchdown for Boonsboro. Barnes had 118 yards rushing, while he and Lewis each made nine tackles. Jimmy Griffin also had nine tackles and an interception for Boonsboro (3-2).

Coty Grove scored two touchdowns, Travis Gatrell had a two-point conversion and Pat Bears recorded a safety for South (4-1-1).


Alderson-Broaddus 3, Shepherd 1

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Kim Pirisino had 13 kills and 16 digs and Judy Whims added 17 kills and 11 digs as Shepherd's record 12-match winning streak was snapped in the 33-35, 30-28, 30-28, 30-17 loss. Danielle Munson had 15 kills, 11 digs and three aces, while Nicole Morgan added 38 assists for Shepherd (19-6, 5-1). Alderson-Broaddus improves to 19-7 (7-0).
