Lois I. Boyer

INWOOD, W.Va. - Lois I. Boyer, 82, of Inwood, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born July 4, 1920, in Steger, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mable Lake Kufeldt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Boyer.

She was a member of Vistula Christian Church in Vistula, Ind.

She is survived by one son, Roger L. Boyer of Inwood; two brothers, Don Kufeldt of Constantine, Mich., and Jim Kufeldt of Bristol, Ind.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Sigsby

A memorial service will be Saturday at 5 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel Funeral Home, Inwood. The Rev. Harry Young will officiate.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.




Anna H. Shuman

CARLISLE, Pa. - Anna H. Shuman, 98, of Claremont Nursing Home, and formerly of United Towers, Chambersburg, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at Claremont Nursing Home.

Born July 17, 1904, in Homestead, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Franklin B. and Mary Bauer Berger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel C. Shuman, in 1966.

She worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg during World War II as a stock checker. She worked at Knouse Foods for 20 years.

She was of the Methodist faith.

She was a former member of Young at Heart Club of Chambersburg.

She is survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, four sons, three sisters, four brothers and one grandson.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Bonnie Brush will officiate. Burial will be in Cashtown Cemetery, Franklin County, Pa.

Visitation will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.




Ella M. Wilson

Ella Mae Wilson, 87, of Julia Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born March 19, 1915, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Ernest M. and Bertha E. Smith Drury.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Wilson, in 1975.

She was employed by Interwoven Stocking Factory, Poole's Store and Williamsport High School cafeteria.

She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.

She was a member of Halfway Fire Co. Auxiliary, Senior Citizens of Halfway and Girl's Friendly Group.

She is survived by two daughters, Julie A. Hammond of Fairplay, and Gwendolyn L. Berger of Williamsport; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Charles B. Wilson; one sister, Marguerite S. Forrie; and one brother, Alvin E. Drury.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert C. Lehman will officiate. Inurnment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Alice M. Schleigh

Alice Marie Schleigh, 84, of 2007 Starlight Lane, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Aug. 25, 1918, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Daisy Hull Spielman.

She was employed by Rakestraw Ice Cream in Hagerstown.

She was a member of the AARP.

She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Schleigh; two sons, Gary L. Schleigh and Charles L. Schleigh Jr., both of Hagerstown; two brothers, Maurice Spielman and Charles Spielman, both of Hanover, Pa.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. John W. Ailstock will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown.




Ruby E. Walker

INWOOD, W.Va. - Ruby Evelyn Walker, 88, of Inwood, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Dec. 21, 1913, in Fayette County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jesse James and May Pennington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mavin E. Walker.

She retired from the Pentagon.

She was a member of Inwood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The Rev. Khrista Ferguson will officiate.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel Funeral Home, Inwood.

Koni K. Autz

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Koni Kathryn Autz, 44, of 4606 Feldspar Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at her home.

Born Sept. 13, 1958, in Mesa, Ariz., she was the daughter of Richard P. and Rhea Sumpter Autz of Middletown.
